How can I use the Sparkyard music curriculum for mixed age groups?

We don't offer mixed age planning at the moment. However, teachers who are using Sparkyard in mixed age settings can access materials for adjacent year groups (e.g Y1 and 2).

When writing the curriculum , we planned particular year groups together (Y1 and 2, Yr 3 and 4, Yr 5 and 6) so similar themes are covered. It would be possible for teachers to to take a 'mix n match' approach in order to find suitable materials. The skills progression documents (which can be found in the green banner on the music curriculum page in Sparkyard) also give a broad view of skills coverage for each year which will help teachers plan effectively.
