The Sparkyard Music Curriculum was crafted with consideration of the music curricula across all UK nations. Designed for flexibility, it offers teachers a wide range of activities that can be tailored to meet the unique needs of their pupils.

Currently, we provide planning documents which link directly to the English Music Curriculum. However, teachers working with different national curricula may customize their lesson plans by selecting materials that best fit their requirements. Our skills progression documents, accessible via the green banner on Sparkyard's music curriculum page provide an overview of skill development for each year in singing, playing, composition, improvisation and listening. These documents can be used alongside the lesson plans to support teachers as they plan a curriculum sequence that meets the needs of their classes.
